VISCERA WHEELS AND RIMS
Street is where it's at. Who wants to build a car for car shows, and never actually drive it? Here at CARiD we like to drive cars, and we like to drive them a lot. Of course, it helps to drive a great-looking car with great-looking custom wheels. Big wheels to hold big rubber that lets us have the acceleration, cornering and breaking characteristics we can appreciate. Viscera wheels are perfect for a street car. They're one-piece cast alloy wheels, finished in gleaming chrome that looks a foot deep, in gripping styles.

Viscera starts with some great-looking styles of wheels. They're cast by a well-known process called pressure die-casting. In this process, molten aluminum is gently pushed by air pressure up from the crucible into the bottom of a heated die. This prevents slag or air pockets that turn into surface flaws and porous areas in the aluminum wheel. The wheel, after it cools, is then machined on state-of-the-art CNC equipment to exacting tolerances. That's the easy part.
Applying chrome plating to aluminum is one of the more difficult skills in the plater's art. Aluminum skins over with an ultra-hard layer of aluminum oxide within seconds of being cleaned or machined. So the wheel has to be chemically cleaned and then plated with layers of copper, nickel and then chromium to provide that mirror-bright finish. The payoff is a shine that lasts for years without pitting or peeling. Your car deserves this kind of attention to detail.
Many styles of Viscera wheel use plastic inserts as a design element, and the gleaming plastic is a great counterpoint to the gleaming chrome, adding depth and definition to the sculpted center of the wheels. Here's your chance to customize your ride even more: it only takes a minute to remove the inserts - even if the wheel is mounted on the car - and make them available to be painted. Match your car's paint job, or pick a color that contrasts or complements the rest of the vehicle. Red inserts on a black car? Yellow inserts on a green car? Gold or bronze on a cream-colored car? It's all good.
I've put them on a while ago and they turned out pretty good. I am very picky on rims but I am 100% sure I made a perfect choice. The offset and stance are so eye-catching. Highly recommend Viscera.
My Ram looks gorgeous now. I'd like to thank carid for a great customer support too. They helped me to chose the right set and ensured that it would be delivered timely.
