The exhaust system quiets the noise from the engine, channels noxious exhaust fumes to the rear of the vehicle away from the passenger compartment, and reduces exhaust emissions. It begins at the cylinder head exhaust ports, where exhaust flows into the manifold(s), through pipes into the catalytic converter(s), through the muffler(s) and out the tailpipe(s). We can handle all your exhaust repair needs, no matter whether you need a complete system or individual components.

Exhaust manifolds collect the spent exhaust gases from each exhaust port and funnel them to a single outlet. They can be made from cast iron or steel. Manifolds are generally very durable, but eventually they can develop cracks from the repeated expansion and contraction of the metal as the manifold heats up and cools down. If your manifold is damaged, there’s no need to go to the dealer, as we can supply you with the correct replacement.

A muffler is an enclosure with an inlet and outlet that allows it be connected into the exhaust system. The interior contains chambers and perforated tubes that are designed to reflect sound waves that cancel each other out. Vehicles like luxury cars often also have resonator(s), which are smaller mufflers that further reduce sound or give the exhaust a certain tone. Mufflers exist in the harsh undercar environment, where corrosion and impact can cause holes that can allow noise and harmful exhaust fumes to escape. We can make your car quiet and safe again with a quality replacement muffler.

The catalytic converter consists of a substrate encased in a cylindrical stainless steel enclosure. The actual catalysts from which the component gets its name are precious metals like rhodium, platinum and palladium, which are applied to the surface of the substrate. These convert hydrocarbons and carbon monoxide to carbon dioxide and water, and reduce oxides of nitrogen emissions. If your converter is plugged, contaminated, rusted out, or physically damaged, or if the vehicle fails a smog test, we have the replacement that will restore your vehicle’s performance and emissions compliance.

Exhaust pipes are subject to the same environmental factors that can cause rust through and perforations, which result in noise and exhaust leaks. Exhaust system components are connected using gaskets and/or clamps, which can also fail with similar results. Exhaust hangers support the exhaust system and keep it from contacting other parts. Broken hangers can cause strain on the system, allow it to hang too low, and cause vibration and rattling. No matter what kind of exhaust system malfunction you have, we can supply you with everything required for an effective repair.

If you're looking for a replacement exhaust manifold, you may notice that the choices available for your specific vehicle are only available with an "integrated" catalytic converter. In the same way, a search for a replacement catalytic converter may only turn up "combination" converter/manifold products.

    Auto Parts: Dealer vs. Aftermarket
The question of whether to buy parts from an automotive dealer vs. ones from aftermarket manufacturers is as age-old as the automobile itself. Below, we'll take a look at things worth considering to help you make a better choice if you're facing that same question. Automobile manufacturers and dealerships always advertise the fact that their parts are "genuine" because they were made by the exact same production facility that made the parts installed on the assembly line.

    Direct Fit vs. Universal Mufflers
Regardless of whether you're shopping for a simple replacement muffler that delivers original equipment (OE) sound and performance or an upgraded muffler which provides a deeper growl with increased power through freer exhaust flow, you'll see choices between "direct fit" mufflers and "universal" mufflers. In this article, we'll help you understand the differences between these two styles so you can make a more informed purchase.
