22 Inch Tires

We know that when you choose to install 22 inch off-road tires on your truck or SUV, you need to be sure that you don’t have to worry about traction over sand, water, mud, snow, and rocks, not to mention getting stuck somewhere in the middle of nowhere. That’s why we offer a wide selection of tires with tread patterns customized for each type of off-road challenge. If matching rock climbing ability with the need to drive on real-world paved highways is important, you’ll find tires that measure up in both categories to provide you with a satisfying driving experience whether you're working on a construction site or towing your toys.

High-quality off-road tires must have reinforced sidewalls to resist cuts and abrasions caused by sharp-edged rocks, roots, and logs. For improved traction and braking efficiency, the tread pattern must have wide and rugged shoulder blocks. When it is time to get back on paved streets, curved grooves in the central section of the pattern ensure excellent traction and rainwater evacuation. Premium-quality 22 inch tires from such well-known brand names as Pirelli, Toyo, Kumho, Michelin, Hankook, and many others can not only provide excellent grip and luxury feel but also ensure good resistance to tread wear. 99 Camaro SS
I have owned this Camaro SS since new. It was ordered with the SLP exhaust option and the 17" Chrome ZR wheels. After using up the original Goodyears, I put on Avon(acutally Cooper made) tires stock size with mixed reaction. Great grip at first but eventually the faded away. I now have the Continental tires listed on the car and they have made quite a difference. Great overall handling and ride quality. I personally like the asymmetrical tread design on this tire, and other Continentals I have had. Looks like they cost more but I think worth it.

Understanding Tires

There is a lot of information on the sidewall of a tire. Typically, you'll find UTQG ratings for treadwear, traction and temperature, the size of the tire, the load rating index number with a speed rating index, the construction type (bias or radial), the D.O.T. compliance code, and construction details. On some tires used as original equipment, you may also find a marking that indicates its OE status.
