Replacement Engine Parts
Finally, your busy day is over, and it is the right time to drive back home. You already feel the smell of the delicious dinner waiting for you. Smiling, you insert the ignition key, turn it, and...nothing! Your engine is as dead as a dodo. You try again and again but the engine still keeps silent. You wonder what could have caused such a situation considering that your battery is charged and the fuel tank is full. Upset and confused, you get into a taxi, wishing to know the true reason of such a miserable failure.
Sad to say, but the kind of situation often turns out to be a reality. And that's not a surprising thing since the engine has an enormous number of constituent parts that can wear out and fail someday. Crankshaft, camshaft, spark plugs, timing belt, cylinder head or block, gaskets and seals, or any other of the engine parts can play a cruel trick with you in the most unexpected place and time.
Being a core component of the vehicle, the engine is often compared to the heart. And no wonder why. No one can live without a heart, the same as none of the vehicles can run without an engine. Moreover, both units have similar functions: while the heart makes your body work by pumping blood through the veins, the engine makes your car operate by supplying it with the required amount of energy. Having a form of fuel, that energy serves as a source of power. Where does the engine get that energy? Let's clear that up right now.

The engine has a significant task to perform: it converts fuel into motion so that the vehicle could move. The simplest way to produce motion is to burn gasoline inside the engine compartment. Generally, almost all vehicles use the so-called four-stroke engine. The name 'four-stroke' says it all by itself there are four piston strokes in the combustion cycle: intake, compression, combustion, and exhaust strokes. To execute its task, the engine should go through the cycle during two separate revolutions of the crankshaft, which is the part that translates reciprocating linear piston motion into rotation.
The process starts once the intake valve opens, and a tiny drop of fuel/air mixture enters the engine while the piston moves down. This is the intake stroke. After that, the piston moves upward, compressing the mixture to make the compression stroke occur. When the piston gains the top of the stroke, the ignition plug creates a spark to combust the gasoline/air mixture. Here the combustion stroke comes. The fuel charge in the cylinder explodes, pushing the piston down. Once the unit meets the bottom, the exhaust valve opens and the exhaust quits the cylinder to go out through the tail pipe. Now, the engine is about to start the next cycle, so it intakes another portion of gasoline and air.
The mechanism described above is the engine with just one cylinder. Consequently, the more cylinders the engine consists of, the more power can be generated in less time. And mind, there are other components not being mentioned that take part in the combustion process. The camshaft, valve covers, cylinder head, connecting rod and rod bearing, crankshaft, etc. are those elements whose job is no less important. Hence, considering the quantity of the engine parts that let your vehicle move, one should clearly understand even one faulty piece can result in zero energy. To avoid that situation, each and every component of your car's engine must not only be operable but reliable as well.
The product was shipped fast. The price was the least expensive I found, and it worked amazingly. I truly recommend CARiD to everyone who needs parts and accessories for their vehicle.
This one in this picture is not the right one, but when I got the right part, I never had any issues whatsoever in installing it back. It helps a lot when you got the right parts when it comes to fixing cars.
Great product. I paid less than $25 and got my AC running again in less that 15 minutes. I also saved over $200.00 off the price quoted from PepBoys for parts and labor (about $120.00 each).
The same resistor pack available elsewhere but at an incredible price. Works just fine, hope to never need another one. Shipping costs more than the part itself and a little slow, but well packaged and well protected in the package. Hope to do business again.
After installation I waited for my wife to make a comment. She noticed an increased air quality. That is all we all need to hear. We did notice that we did not have to crank the AC to max in order to cool the cabin. As we have a CDN model, we are able to leave temp at 22 instead 15 C. A huge difference in air flow. For real, no bull.
