Spare Tire Carrier Accessories

If you’ve installed larger wheels and tires on your truck or SUV and are looking for a way to mount a matching spare, or you want to mount your spare in a different location, we offer an extensive range of spare tire mounts for truck beds, tailgates, bumpers, receiver hitches, roof racks and cargo baskets. But instead of a complete carrier, if you just need a bracket, extension, adapter, or some other part to complete your spare tire installation, you’ll find whatever you need in our large selection of spare tire carrier accessories.

Sometimes just a few inches more room are all you need to get a larger spare mounted on the tailgate. If that’s your predicament, you don’t need a new spare tire mount, you want one of our spare tire relocation brackets, also called extensions or adapters by some brands. The bracket attaches to your existing spare tire carrier and the spare wheel mounts to the bracket. We have sturdy mounts that position the tire further out to clear the body or higher up to clear the rear bumper, and some brackets do both.

In some cases getting a larger spare tire mounted and properly supported isn’t the only challenge. No matter whether you’re using a relocation bracket or one of our heavy-duty Body Mounted Spare Tire Carriers or Bumper Mounted Spare Tire Carriers, once installed the larger diameter spare can obscure the license plate and/or interfere with the 3rd brake light. But you won’t have to worry about being pulled over or have to cobble something together to stay legal, because we have the brackets and extensions you need to remount your tag and center stop light, as well as complete 3rd brake light assemblies, so everything is clearly visible. We also offer other parts you may need like spare tire locks and tailgate tire stops.

Any equipment you can carry on the exterior of your off-roader means more space for friends and stuff inside. Plus, some necessities, like gas cans and greasy, dirty jacks, you just don’t want in the interior of your rig. The spare tire carrier brands we offer are off-road savvy, so many have created mounts to carry gas cans, jerry cans, Rotopax containers, and Hi-lift jack mounts right on the spare tire carrier. These mounting brackets are specifically designed for each carrier, so just like your spare, you can be confident that your cans, containers and jack will stay securely attached to your machine over even the roughest terrain, plus you have quick and easy access to your gear when you need it.

However, these aren’t all the spare tire carrier essentials we can offer you. When you’re restoring a classic car, the difference between a show winner and an also-ran is often in the details, but unfortunately original spare tire related parts like hold-downs, brackets, bolts and wing-nuts get lost over the years. We have authentic reproductions of these parts for many classics and muscle cars, so you can perfectly restore your trunk area. We also have a selection of spare tire carriers for trailers, including economical U-bolt style mounts that can be attached just about anywhere on the trailer, and heavy-duty high-mount carriers that mount to the trailer tongue. All are zinc plated to resist corrosion.

Rugged Ridge 3rd Brake Light Spacer
I purchased this after finding out I would need it after mounting the Rugged Ridge Spare Tire mount which raises the wheel up 2". This comes with excellent instructions. The product itself is well made with proper bolts, spacers, and nuts included. Has a shiny painted black surface. Mounts easier if you mount it first before the spare tire mount. Once in place along with the Rugged Ridge Spare Tire mount, it fits as expected and look good. I would recommend this product.

Clean Look!
Nicely cut piece. Powder coat is even and looks good. It's a perfect canvas for a vinyl decal, too. I put an Army star on the plate and it looks awesome!
