On a typical modern vehicle, the B-pillars provide support for the roof and also furnish the mounting areas for the front door latch strikers and rear door hinges. Such an important structural body part deserves better than to be cloaked in black or obscured with paint. Celebrate your B-pillars by adorning them with bright chrome! Our pillar post trim makes it easy to embellish your B-pillars and give your car or truck a whole new look.

Check out the chrome pillar post trim on this page and it’s easy to see the difference bright chrome will make to this area of your vehicle. Instead of getting lost in the body, the B-pillars become a focal point, adding visual appeal to the overall design. Chrome pillar post trim can add excitement to your vehicle by itself, but it really pops when combined with other chrome accessories like window trim, mirror covers, body side moldings, and more.

Chrome pillar post trim may seem pretty simple and uncomplicated, but that doesn’t mean that these panels are just universal sheets of material that have to be cut to size. Each of our trim sets is specifically designed for the application, so you won’t have to be concerned with edges that hang over or corners that stick out. Vehicle specific design ensures form that will perfectly complement your vehicle’s styling and precise fitment that will enable easy installation. With our chrome trim it’s a simple affair to accentuate your B-pillars.

A big part of that easy installation is because of the method of trim attachment. It goes without saying that to ensure a smooth look drilling holes and installing fasteners would be out of the question, so all of our chrome pillar post trim is attached with 3M acrylic foam tape. This is a very strong adhesive that’s so effective it’s used by the vehicle manufacturers to attach trim at the factory. The auto makers’ confidence in this adhesive should give you assurance that your chrome pillar post trim will never come loose.

The bright shine you enjoy from your pillar post trim today will still be there for many years to come because this isn’t the same chrome used on cars in the old days that would rust and pit after only a few years. Most of our trim is made from 304 stainless steel, a grade with a high chromium content that makes it resistant to corrosion. To obtain its luster the stainless steel is triple chrome plated or mirror polished to a high gloss. The exception to stainless steel construction is our high-tech carbon fiber pillar post trim, which is available for some applications.

Pillar Post Trim: Mirror-Bright Dress-Up For The Outside
While chrome trim has gone in and out of fashion on automobiles over the years, it’s hard to deny the reason chrome always comes back into fashion is because it simply looks so good. Applied in just the right amount, chrome pieces can really make the lines of any car or truck pop. When most vehicles roll off the assembly line though, trim pieces around doors and windows are often found lacking - but with potential for easy improvement.

    Chrome Trim: Overlay vs. Replacement
One of the more eye-catching tricks automobile manufacturers have used to differentiate higher-priced luxury versions of a car model from value-priced versions of it has been to vary the amount of chrome trim on the vehicle. Base model cars and trucks (also known as "strippers" or "entry level") have little if any chrome while luxury and top-of-the-line ones have the most chrome. In years past, plain Jane cars were simply painted in all areas instead of being chromed. In more recent decades, the low-cost replacement of choice has become black plastic. This makes base models easier than ever to spot because the eye catches hard on black plastic. Completely missing is the pleasing chrome finish on grilles, door trim, mirror assemblies, light bezels, and other areas. Base models end up looking more like fleet vehicles or work trucks than anything prestigious, especially to people who aren't automotive enthusiasts.

Very Easy Application, Great Look
Applying each carbon fiber pillar piece was really easy - basically just a process of matching up the pieces then making sure the edges line up right before applying. I did spend a fair amount of time making sure that each pillar was practically spotless by cleaning the surface with rubbing alcohol, a natural home cleaning product and lint free cloth to dry. The overall look is awesome, it changes depending on how the light hits which I really like- the design can go from a flat black to a very detailed/rich carbon fiber rather quick. I will say if you want a constant carbon fiber look this isn't the product for you.
