Custom Spare Tire Covers
Ultraviolet (UV) light from the sun degrades rubber, causing cracking and discoloration on tires with a reduction in flexibility and durability. Although the 4 tires in use on your vehicle are exposed to UV, protective compounds added during the manufacturing process continually make their way to the tires’ surface as the rubber flexes and compresses during use, helping to protect them. But since the exposed and idle spare can’t take advantage of such protection, it should be shielded from UV with a cover.
If you’re looking for something unique and different, then consider one of our rigid covers. For select applications we offer covers with a durable, rigid hard plastic face in vehicle matching colors, or textured black, with or without screen-printed graphics, or with printed graphics alone. The molded plastic cover face will give your rig a smooth, clean, finished look and they’re available with a heavy-duty vinyl band surrounding the tread or with polished, black powder coated or color matched stainless steel tread covering ring. The completely rigid covers with hard face and stainless steel ring are lockable to prevent theft. These covers provide the ultimate combination of appearance and security.
If you’re upgrading to taller and wider tires, we have covers that will fit the tire but you may find that the tire itself won’t fit on the spare tire mount without interfering with the rear bumper and/or body. We offer extension brackets that position the tire higher and away from the body. And if you have a classic or muscle car and you’re looking for that finishing touch to your restoration, we also have covers for your trunk mounted spare. Many of these cars featured standard or optional covers that kept the spare clean and protected in the trunk, and gave this compartment a more finished look. We have covers in materials and patterns that match the floor mat, for that all important attention to detail.
