About Volkswagen Performance Air Intake Systems

One of the world's largest and most successful carmakers, the Volkswagen Group maintains a serious presence in every market worldwide. The Volkswagen cars have a well-earned reputation for excellent design and execution. The company evolved, keeping up with the times and producing the lively Golf, the progenitor of all modern "hot hatchbacks", and the classic Passat. The German company's current lineup includes everything from small family sedans to large and spacious SUV's, all equally tightly built and extremely durable.

    2005 Volkswagen Jetta
    | Posted by | (Richmond, RI)

So this product is stated on CARiD as a cold air intake for a 2005 Volkswagen Jetta. That is a false statement. If you want the right sized pipe for a 2005 JETTA get the other series or a short ram. I had to buy separated hoses for the charcoal sensor and mass airflow sensor and they sent me the wrong sized hydro shield so that had to get zip tied on for the time being. Check engine light did come on and didn't go off. Had to clear the code. On the bright side, the intake gives the car an amazing throaty sound when you accelerate hard. The best sound is around 2000 and 4000 RPM.
