Soft Tonneau Covers

Soft tonneau covers are the most traditional type of tonneau, providing affordable weather protection for your truck bed and cargo, and an enhancement in appearance compared to an open, cluttered truck bed. A soft tonneau also reduces drag, making your truck more aerodynamic for an improvement in mileage, and it conceals your cargo from prying eyes. Coupled with a locking tailgate, a soft tonneau provides a measure of deterrence to opportunistic thieves. Our soft tonneau covers come in several styles, so you can get the one that suits how you use your truck and the type of cargo you carry most often.

Roll up covers are generally the most inexpensive tonneaus, so even if you’re on a tight budget they’re a great way to get protection for your truck bed. They can be unlatched, rolled up and stored behind the cab in a matter of seconds, for complete bed access. Available in ultra-low, low and standard profiles, each will give your truck a smooth, clean look. Folding and hinged covers are ideal when you routinely only want access to the rear of the bed, but both types can be easily removed when the whole bed is needed. All three types are available sized to fit with a cross bed tool box installed.

The classic roll up cover combines economy with simple installation, durability, and ease of use. It’s constructed from vinyl or vinyl covered fabric that won’t crack, shrink, stretch or fade no matter the temperature or precipitation. The cover secures to the bed side rails with snaps, a snapless peel and seal system, or with hook and loop fasteners. The latter usually features an integral rear bar that latches to both sides of the truck bed at the rear, which can only be unlatched with the tailgate lowered. Depending on brand and model, the cover bow supports may install separately or roll up with the cover. Each cover is specifically designed for the application, for perfect fit and easy installation that can generally be accomplished with simple hand tools.

Folding tonneau covers are the simplest covers to install – mounting can typically be handled by one person in just a few minutes. Most are shipped fully assembled - just place the folded cover on the front of your truck bed and hand tighten the clamps under the bed rails. Unfold the cover, secure the clamps in the same manner at the rear panel, and you’re done. These covers are lightweight, and made of vinyl or vinyl covered fabric attached to a metal framework. Fold the rear panel over for rear bed access, or when the whole bed is needed, the panels can be folded and stacked behind the cab, where they are typically secured with straps and hook and loop fastener or quick release buckles. Some covers feature prop rods that hold the panels up behind the rear of the cab, when more bed access is necessary.

Soft hinged tonneaus have heavy-duty, weather resistant vinyl or vinyl covered fabric, attached to a tough but lightweight aluminum frame. They pivot on hinges at the front of the truck bed, latch at the sides in the rear, and are supported with gas struts when open. These covers are easily installed and can be raised with one hand. An easy to reach strap is provided to pull the tonneau closed. Seals around the perimeter of the cover protect your cargo from moisture. If full bed access is needed, the gas struts can be detached and quick-release hinges allow easy removal. The vinyl is attached to the metal framework with snaps or a snapless sealing system, so the cover can be rolled up like a roll up cover, providing another option when access to the entire bed is desired.

If you have an across the bed tool box mounted on the bed rails behind the cab, you can still have the protection, security, and style provided by a soft tonneau cover. Each style cover we offer - roll up, folding, and hinged, is available in a size that will perfectly fit your truck bed with the tool box installed. Some of our folding covers also allow just the front panel to be folded back, for convenient access to cargo at the front of the bed or to a bed mounted tool box. One of our most unique tonneau covers is a combination roll up/folding cover that can be rolled up from the rear for complete bed access, but also features a hinged section at the front that can quickly be folded back for front of bed access.
