Truck Beds

Today’s pickup trucks can be trimmed to the same degree as fine luxury cars. Many pickups are acquired for personal use rather than work, and truck makers spend more time making sure the interior is well-appointed than they do on the bed. This is a far cry from the pickups’ utilitarian origins when the bed was the most important aspect and cabins were spartan. Nevertheless, most trucks are still workhorses, and if you’re finding that the OE bed is constraining, we have the upgraded bed to expand your truck’s capabilities.

The factory pickup bed is adequate for most uses, but even 8 ft. beds aren’t large enough for hauling some cargo. The other limitation of the OE bed is the bed sides, which restrict most cargo loading to the rear of the truck. The solution to cargo capacity and loading shortcomings is to equip your truck with a flatbed. Although size will vary according to bed model and chassis, in general flatbeds are wider and can be longer than the inside dimensions of the average 8 ft. truck box, plus they can be easily loaded from the sides.

No matter whether you haul bales of hay, machinery, or pallets of merchandise, one of our flatbed truck beds can considerably improve your truck’s cargo hauling capabilities and make loading and unloading less of a chore. Not only is a flatbed larger than a standard pickup truck box, but the lack of sides means you can overhang cargo somewhat, if needed, which could mean being able to get the job done in one trip instead of two, and fewer trips means less time lost and lower fuel expenses. Plus a flatbed enables easy loading and unloading of cargo when using equipment like a forklift. In addition to unobstructed access to the bed you don’t have to worry about scratching and denting the bed sides of a conventional cargo box.

Our flatbed truck beds are made from strong, durable, yet lightweight aluminum, which means more of your truck’s GVWR can be devoted to cargo, not to a heavy steel bed. They’re available with extruded tongue & groove or thick diamond tread flooring supported by sturdy I-beam subfloor supports, and feature tubular & diamond tread headboards, and tailboards with recessed license plate bezels. They come equipped with prewired LED lighting, the subfloor frame is configured for the installation of a gooseneck hinged trap door, and the bed edges have stake pockets and rub rails for attaching cargo retaining straps. Flatbeds are available in a range of sizes to suit your needs and the truck’s wheelbase and chassis dimensions.

We also offer a range of optional accessories to set up your flatbed truck bed and increase its functionality. Install additional lighting in the headboard to make your truck more visible. We have oval, round, red and amber lights in several different arrangements encased in rugged diamond tread aluminum boxes. If you tow a gooseneck trailer we have a hinged trap door kit that can be installed to cover the hitch when not in use. You can carry tools, emergency gear and anything else you need for the job in our underbody tool boxes, available in a range of sizes with drop-down or swing-out doors, and you can avoid throwing stones and mud onto vehicles behind with mud flaps, available for single or double rear wheels.

Dump Bed
It’s a high quality product. The delivery was fast and the customer service while ordering was outstanding. The directions however were very vague and this is not a one man job to install. There is a lot more cutting and fabrication than expected. Lots of drilling. Took us a few extra days. But worth the struggle for the end result.
