The Short Version: The 2025 Mitsubishi lineup has been announced, including the same four vehicles as last year – Outlander, Outlander Plug-in Hybrid, Outlander Sport, and Eclipse Cross. The Outlander receives a mid-cycle refresh with some new design elements, and the Eclipse Cross gets a new Black Edition added to the family.
Mitsubishi Motors just announced its lineup for the 2025 model year, and they’re all familiar names, including the Outlander, Outlander Plug-in Hybrid, Outlander Sport, and Eclipse Cross. While there aren’t any new models and none of them are getting complete redesigns, 2025 will bring some changes to the exterior, interior improvements for comfort and connectivity, and more.
Outlander – the brand’s flagship full-size, three-row SUV – was fully redesigned back in 2022, and it will get some styling changes for the 2025 model year. As of now, Mitsubishi is being a bit coy about the details, saying only that the Outlander will have different front and rear fascias, along with more luxurious materials in the cabin.
The plug-in version of the Outlander gets some tweaks inside to enhance the comfort, including heated front seats on all trims. Higher-tiered SEL trims will get a heated steering wheel and a panoramic sunroof.
Platinum and Black Editions also return for the 2025 model year, bringing back limited Black Diamond exterior two-tone paint schemes, interior accents, and some other luxurious touches. Its 38-mile electric-only driving range and 420-mile overall range remain the same as 2024.
The Outlander Sport comes back in 2025 with minimal changes. The only big addition to the Sport is Rear Seat Alert, a small but important upgrade for families. All Outlander Sport models still come standard with all-wheel control.
Finishing off the MY25 lineup is the Eclipse Cross, the brand’s smaller crossover SUV. For 2025, it also receives Rear Seat Alert on all trims and retains the same exterior styling as the previous model year. A new Eclipse Cross Black Edition is being added to the Mitsubishi family, offering a distinctive front lip and rear spoiler. All Eclipse Cross trims will also come with the automaker’s S-AWD all-wheel drive system.
Pricing for the 2025 models has not yet been released, but full details should come from Mitsubishi closer to official launch dates.
