Outstanding capabilities on- and off-road take the 2010 Honda Pilot to the top of its segment. The vehicle feels stable, and overall ride quality is quite high. To a great extent, it is the merit of the suspension and other mechanical parts, but the role of tires is also undeniable. Without traction they provide, even the finest mechanicals wouldn’t be able to perform their functions properly. However, in order to work well, your rubber must have a sufficient tread depth, otherwise, driving will be unsafe.
You can understand that your tires have seen better days with the help of a simple visual check. For instance, there is a so-called penny test in which the coin is inserted into the groove, and the tread has to be deep enough to cover at least the top of Lincoln's head. If the tread is too shallow, replacement is the only right thing to do. It's also the only proper solution if your rubber is rotted or has serious damages on the sidewalls.
