The first bumpers were utilitarian metal bars that extended from the front and rear of vehicles on brackets. They were sacrificial components designed to absorb impacts and protect the vulnerable sheet metal behind them. As automotive styling advanced, bumpers were integrated into the body and became more of a styling feature than a protection device. Today bumpers are typically flexible plastic covers concealing the impact absorbing mechanism.

On modern vehicles the front bumper is an integral component of the vehicle fascia, and combined with the grille and headlights forms the vehicle’s “face”. If you’re tired of presenting the same face to the world and want a look that will differentiate your car from similar models, you’ve come to the right place. Our custom bumpers and valances will give your ride a unique appearance that’s sure to turn heads wherever you go.

As you can see from the many bumpers shown on this page, our front bumpers are the perfect addition to a performance car. They not only have aggressive looks, but many incorporate air dams, lips, or spoilers for a more aerodynamic appearance and function that will help your car hug the road. They’re constructed from sturdy materials including carbon fiber, urethane, ABS plastic and fiberglass composite. Each bumper has been carefully designed for a specific application, so you can be assured of ease of fitment and styling that will perfectly complement the rest of your car. Bumpers are delivered ready for prep and paint.

We also have a large selection of rear bumpers so you can create a unique and distinctive theme for your entire vehicle. Style varies according to brand and application, but many have cut outs for exhaust tips and most have a ground effects augmenting shape that’s a perfect accompaniment to other aero mods like side skirts. In addition to custom rear bumpers we also offer replacement bumpers for many older trucks and SUVs. The originals on these vehicles are often bashed and rusted, and our direct fit replacement bumpers will restore original levels of appearance, protection and functionality.

Another custom styling option besides replacing the original bumper is to install a custom valance. A valance installs just below the bumper. They’re available for the front and rear for many applications to create a distinctive styling touch and add a measure of protection, and for some models they’re available in your choice of styles. A valance can cover unsightly mechanical components, give your vehicle a lowered look, and provide additional protection against dirt and debris. Many front valances include grilles and/or have provisions for fog lights, and some rear valances have cut outs for exhaust tips.

Will Adding a Spoiler Make My Car More Aerodynamic?
A simple way to answer this question would be with a "yes". However, the science of properly managing airflow to create beneficial automotive aerodynamics is, quite literally, more complicated than meets the eye. The word "aerodynamics" brings to mind visions of a vehicle in a wind tunnel with a smoke wand illustrating how smoothly air flows over it. But true automobile aerodynamics involves a detailed study of how the motion of air interacts with all areas of an automobile. One term that gets the most attention is "coefficient of drag" (Cd), which is an overall measurement of a shape's resistance to airflow.

What Type of Body Kit Material Should I Choose?
If you're reading this, you've probably decided the factory stock appearance of your car, while attractive, is rather staid and unexciting. You know that modifying your vehicle with a body kit is what feels right when it comes to adding a personal touch and making it your own. Maybe you're considering starting out slowly by adding a rear spoiler or front air dam, or going further with side skirts and even a replacement custom hood.

Body Kit Installation | Weekend DIY, or Professional Shop?
At CARiD, we understand how deeply the appeal of side skirts, rear diffusers, aero wings, air dams, custom replacement bumper covers, and other components included in body kits runs in the blood of automotive enthusiasts. We know, because we've added them on our own vehicles to enhance performance and to create uniquely impressive visual signatures.

Are Body Kits for Show or for Go?
Full body kits are inspired by the look and functionality of body panel refinements made to racecars after relentless amounts of wind tunnel testing and aerodynamic adjustments on the track. Careful sculpting of body panels with addition of air dams, skirts, rear spoilers, ridges and diffusers serves to control airflow around the car - yielding a lower coefficient of drag along with greater amounts of downforce that keep a car pressed against the ground at higher speeds.

How Do I Repair Or Replace My Plastic Painted Bumper?
The purpose of automobile bumpers is to protect functional and cosmetic areas of the car from damage during low-speed impacts. For many decades, bumpers were heavy chrome-plated steel bars bolted onto a vehicle's front and rear. Today's vehicles still have an actual metal bumper beam, but it's structural only and lighter in weight. A plastic piece known as a bumper cover fits over that structural beam, and is painted to provide a seamless look on the front or rear of a vehicle.

Bomber Bumpers
Came in the same boxes as the front shipped and receive in the exact time said. No scratches on the bumper but as I said it will be painted so not a big matter. Will shop again.
