About Bentley GT

Created as a contemporary reinterpretation of the previous Continental R and T, the grand touring coupe Bentley GT was unveiled at the 2003 Geneva Motor Show. This 2+2 super car is powered by a 6.0L turbocharged W12 engine accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in 4.9 seconds, like the past accelerates into the future. Delivering perfect handling that doesn't compromise comfort, it is equipped with a permanent four-wheel-drive system as a standard option.

Bentley offers this class-leading coupe in several versions. The Continental GTC is the convertible model announced in 2005 (along with the Azure model). It has the same powertrain as the Continental GT and its roof and some of the interior accessories are created by Karmann of Osnabruck, Germany. The GT Speed, produced in 2007, is the supercharged GT version with the increased performance characteristics and minor changes to the exterior parts of the Bentley Continental GT. It accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 4.3 seconds and is the first Bentley car with a weight over 5,291 lb able to reach 202 mph. The GTZ version with its modified body-style by Zagato design bureau appeared in 2009. The GTC Speed, also released in 2009, was equipped with the GT Speed and Flying Spur Speed engine. A Supersports modification was made available on the US market for 2010. It boasts a dual fuel system that is able to run both on petrol and biofuel. The powertrain comes mated to a refined automatic transmission and is boosted by the “Quickshift” system.

Among the numerous Bentley Continental GT awards and achievements, there is one notable and record-breaking fact. In 2007, the four-time World Rally Champion Juha Kankkumen led a Bentley Continental GT Speed to the World Speed Record on Ice. This happened on the frozen Baltic Sea, near Finland, where this “super car” reached a maximum speed of 205.76 mph, breaking the record of 183.9 mph previously set by Bugatti RB110 Supersport.

There is nothing that captures the feeling of traveling with exceptional power and elegance like the Bentley GTC. What the British Empire's Concorde is to flight is what the GTC is to pavement. World-record velocity backed by a twin-turbocharged V-12 internal engine, its grand level of dominance is unrivaled. Of course it is luxurious and stylish, which is another reason so many clamor to get their hands on one. An innovative wonder, the GTC does not know mortal limitations. Unquestionably a contemporary icon.

But while dirt can be found most anywhere you leave the pavement, far more challenging conditions and obstacles lie in wait - some seen, and some unseen. Because no two people's definitions of off-roading will be quite the same, we offer...
Ask any serious off-roading expert what type of rear bumper is best for your 4x4, and they'll tell you the best bumper for extreme use (such as rock crawling) is one that's barely even there. What does that mean exactly? Translated, it means bumpers with edges that angle upward at corners and undersides that slope drastically upward will keep you out of...
Since the demise of built-in running boards after World War II, auto manufacturers have been using rocker panel moldings to dress up a vehicle area that would otherwise be plain-looking and nondescript. Technically, a rocker panel is the section of a vehicle’s body below the doors and between the front and rear wheel wells. For decades, stainless steel molding...
