The Scion xB is a youth-oriented 5-door compact hatchback vehicle by Toyota. This car is known to be the best-selling alternative to other sport-oriented wagons. A large 21.2 cubic feet hood is perfect for transporting sport equipment, such as bikes and other sport appliances. In spite of its size, the Xb handling is extremely comfortable and bound, even on high speeds the car easily takes the corners without rolling or negative vibrations.
The first generation of the Scion xB was a modified version of a compact vehicle Toyota bB. The first modifications of this vehicles were presented in 2004 and they were based on the Toyota ist. The only engine available for Scion xB was a 108hp offered with a manual 5-speed and automatic 4 speed transmissions. The models produced in 2004-2006 did not include side airbags. The Scion xB received 'Good' scores in the frontal offset crash test and in the roof strength test held by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. After the tests, the car was graced with the Top Safety Pick Award.
In 2007 the second-generation Scion xB debuted at the Chicago Auto Show. And the vehicle production commenced the same year. The design of Scion xB exterior parts was borrowed from the concept car t2B, which was presented at the New York Auto Show in 2006. The only engine available for this model was a 103hp 4-cylinder equipped with manual and automatic transmissions. Antiskid and ABS systems were standard for all the vehicles.
Making a statement to its audience is what Scion has strived for since the beginning, and have went far and wide to dish out creative answers to the most demanded types of vehicles around. That is what has made the xB so special. This boxed-out wagon would be a boring clunker if it were manufactured by another company. Instead, Scion turned what was once 'uncool' into an explosively fashionable package that delivers on performance as well as style. The xB is that logical model that turns out to be a desirable and enviable piece of machinery-a rare occurrence and a desirable car to enhance it with proper accessories.
