The Lincoln LS, unveiled in 2000, was designed with a double difficult task: replace the Continental and the Mark, two glorious names in Lincoln’s history, and keep the same luxury level in downsized dimensions. The challenge was in fact to hold back the invasion of European and Japanese luxury sedans. The Lincoln LS was an exquisitely designed mid-size sedan, featuring a timeless elegance and fitted with the usual Lincoln refined interior. Available with two different Jaguar engines, the Lincoln LS was successfully sold on the U.S. market up to 2006, when the series was sent into retirement, being replaced by the Lincoln Zephyr.
