A concept of the completely new Land Rover Defender was showcased in 2011. Later, the company announced that the upcoming vehicle will be the last one in the legendary model line and is planned to be a blend of high off-road capabilities and revolutionary design. This Defender is supposed to be unveiled in 2014 and become available for sale in 2015. According to some reports, the crossover will have a body-on frame platform, though there is also a chance that it will have the Evoque platform, also named LR-MS.
