Hyundai has been expanding its SUV portfolio for the last few years, striving to offer a competitive vehicle in every possible segment. Unveiled at the 2019 New York Auto Show, the Hyundai Venue is the automaker’s latest, seventh offering. It is the smallest SUV in the lineup which sits right below the subcompact Kona. The Venue is designed to attract young city dwellers with its abundance of the latest tech features, fashionable appearance, and an affordable price tag. The successor to the Accent hatchback in the U.S., it is the right choice for those who need an easy-to-park sport ute with a high driving position, hatch-like versatility, and flashy styling. A wide array of Hyundai Venue accessories and parts are available to add flair to this pint-sized crossover.
The exterior design of the Venue follows the styling direction set by other SUVs by Hyundai but features unique cues that make the model attractive in its own right. A bolder cascading grille, square headlights positioned underneath the running lights, and dressy rims are just some of the Hyundai Venue parts that set it apart from the rest of the pack. There are a plethora of body color options on the list, including a two-tone paint. As opposed to the exterior, the cabin design is minimalist in a good way, with clean lines and simple controls. The interior can be had in denim-and-leatherette combination – a unique feature not only for Hyundai but also for the entire class. For those who want to go further and add some unique interior elements, there is a variety of Hyundai Venue accessories and parts offered in the aftermarket industry. On the technology front, the new crossover is anything but basic. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are standard at launch, as is an 8’’ infotainment touchscreen. The same goes for active safety systems present right in the base trim, which normally come as options on other entry-level models. These include auto braking, forward collision and rear cross-traffic warning, and lane keep assist.
The Hyundai Venue comes powered by a 1.6-liter 4-cylinder, which is the only engine on the roster for its first 2020 model year. This mill is found on many other vehicles currently offered by the automaker but got a host of improvements for more efficient cooling, higher power, and better fuel mileage. Transmission choices include a six-speed manual and a CVT. AWD is not available at launch, with a front-drive configuration being the only option. For added traction in slippery conditions, there is a Snow driving mode available.
