With the 4.6 Genesis, drivers receive more styling cues such as chrome trim, 18" alloy wheels, a wood steering wheel, and a Lexicon stereo system that features fifteen speakers. The Hyundai Genesis was also named a Consumers Digest Best Buy (2009) and a finalist for Motor Trend's Car of the Year. Of all the accolades the Genesis has received, perhaps the most prestigious title it has been bestowed with was being named the 2009 North American Car of the Year at the Detroit Auto Show. This honor highlights not only the model itself, but also Hyundai's achievement in a highly competitive field.
