A leaf spring suspension isn’t as advanced as modern-day setups. Its usage spans centuries and its history traces back to the times of horse-drawn carriages. However, because leaf springs are so simple, reliable, and inexpensive to produce, they are in use even today, in the age of combustion-driven and hybrid transportation.
