Super Truck™ Exhaust Systems by Gibson®. When quiet is the least of your concerns, get the Super Truck Cat-Back Exhaust System, for a loud powerful sound and race truck looks, with increased horsepower and torque in the rpm range where you need it most. This Gibson exhaust system makes maximum low end power, for impressive acceleration with a race rumble exhaust tone. It's available in stainless steel or aluminized steel and comes with dual exhaust pipes and dual polished stainless steel exhaust tips, which exit in front of the rear tire and look like NASCAR race truck exhaust.

There are many performance exhaust system manufacturers that make extravagant power claims, with a lot of talk about increased flow with huge exhaust tubing. But their systems usually make the most power at 5000-6000 rpm, an rpm range seldom used on the street, even by performance vehicles. And those sewer pipe sized tubes actually reduce torque at lower rpm, where you need it the most.

The Gibson Super Truck Cat-Back Exhaust System is designed and built to make horsepower and torque for real world driving conditions. Dyno results show that this system makes maximum horsepower and torque at 1800-3000 rpm, where it delivers impressive acceleration you can feel during every day driving. And along with that increased power and improved performance you get a loud performance exhaust tone, and NASCAR race truck style from 2 separate exhaust pipes and 2 polished exhaust tips that exit in front of the rear tire.

Gibson designed this exhaust system at their fully equipped research and development center, using engine and chassis dynos, flow benches and audio testing equipment. To make useable real world power, Gibson equips this system with the Superflow muffler and mandrel bent tubing. The all-welded construction Superflow muffler is baffled and chambered for better volume efficiency with unrestricted flow. It’s so efficient it has only 5% exhaust flow restriction, as opposed to the 34% or more restriction in a typical stock muffler, and the 10-20% restriction that exists with some aftermarket mufflers. And the increased flow and great sound is achieved without using any muffler packing, so there’s no packing to blow out. Your exhaust flow and sound will remain consistent throughout the life of the muffler.

The other key to less restriction and improved flow is mandrel bent tubing. First Gibson selects the optimal tubing diameter for the best engine efficiency, not the most exhaust flow, then they use CNC mandrel tube benders to make every tubing bend. Mandrel bending ensures smooth bends and makes sure the pipe maintains its size and shape throughout the entire length. Tubes that aren’t mandrel bent can lose a percentage of their diameter in sharp bends, creating restriction. CNC mandrel bending provides consistent bending so every system flows as designed.

Finally, all Gibson exhaust system components are joined with a “slip fit”, where an exhaust system component fits into the larger opening of the next downstream component. This method reduces the turbulence that is common with ‘ball-and-socket” or “flange-and-gasket” joints, which can cause power-robbing backpressure.

The Gibson Super Truck Cat-Back Exhaust System is available in your choice of stainless steel or aluminized steel. Each comes with highly polished dual T304 stainless steel clampless exhaust tips. The system comes with everything required for installation, including zinc plated factory style hangers and clamps, and detailed instructions. Aluminized systems are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship, but not rust through, for as long as the original purchaser owns the vehicle on which the system is installed. Stainless steel systems are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship, including rust through, for as long as the original purchaser owns the vehicle on which the system is installed.

Gibson exhaust systems are manufactured in the USA.

Single Cat-Back Exhaust System
Product looks amazing and sounds better. I had to drive for a little bit with no muffler (straight piping) and was worried that would affect how I would like the roar of this new exhaust system but it did not. This exhaust performs at all the levels of excellencies that the website states. Flawless and music to any truck owner's ears.

Excellent Look, Excellent Sound!
The Gibson Super Truck exhaust is a wonderful add-on to my 1994 F-350. The appearance, sound, and performance are all superb. The price would have been a five star, except for the custom work need to install. Initially, everything looked like it would go together well, but there were two issues. First was the cat output was the same diameter as the stainless steel exhaust pipe between cat and muffler. Could either expand the pipe or use a coupler. Choosing a cleaner install, I took the pipe to the shop to have the diameter enlarged. Unfortunately, stainless steel does not like this and a split began. The shop asked for me to bring in the truck to see what they could do. When they looked at it, they pointed out the second issue. The center line of the muffler and the center line of the cat are not aligned. The stock Ford muffler is oval and its input is about six inches lower than the Gibson round muffler. At this point, I asked them to complete the work. They bent and trimmed the pipe from cat to muffler, welded the pipe in place, added proper mounting brackets, and aligned the exhaust to its proper location. Over all, I am still very pleased with the product, just a bit frustrated that it was not an easy installation. Gibson should review their product compatibility.

New Cat Back System
I was able to install the system I bought with a few modifications, requiring some use of a saws all and some additional hangars. Once it was all done, took about 1-1/2 hours; it all turned out OK. Sounds great and has improved get up and go.

Great Purchase
Great addition to my 2004 Toyota Tundra Double Cab! Super easy install, I think it took about 20 minutes for me. Would have to say if looking for a double cab it does not reach your catalytic converter. It makes it about a foot and a half in front of the resignator. Not super loud, but for sure gives your truck its true V8 tone. Highly recommend!
