The Ford GT was designed to pay tribute to Ford's legendary pace setter that has landed more victories at prestigious races than any other road-race car in the world. It was the Ford GT40 that firmly established the Blue Oval in racing history, having started a four-year winning streak at Le Mans (1966 – 1969). The custom-built Ford GT was unveiled in late 2004 to stay up for just two model years – 2005 and 2006. It took the supercar world by storm with its ferocious 5.4L V8, a supercharged version of the Ford Mustang SVT Cobra's engine that could develop 550 hp and a top speed of 205 mph. The body, inspired by the legendary GT40, was made from fiberglass and aluminum to make sure every ounce of weight is cut down. The front and rear suspension consisted of independent double wishbones, anti-roll bars, coil springs, and monotube shocks. 18-inch front and 19-inch rear alloy wheels, wrapped in massive Goodyear Eagle F1 tires, kept the car well-planted.
The debut of the second-generation Ford GT at the 2015 North American International Auto Show marked 50 years since the GT40 first won at Le Mans. All Ford GT parts and accessories were designed to further advance the breed. Its teardrop-shaped body became more aerodynamically optimized, while carbon fiber monocoque and panels along with aluminum subframes further add to one of the best power-to-weight ratios a production car can offer. But the greatest component in the new GT is its engine, essentially a 3.5L Ecoboost V6 that churns out unbelievable 647 horsepower brought to the rear wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic. What brings that impressive power to a full stop is a set of carbon-ceramic brakes. To adapt this track-ready car for everyday driving, Ford offers five driving modes for the GT – from Normal, which is fine for daily cruising, to V-Max, which makes the car rocket at maximum straight-line speeds.
The GT is the fastest Ford car ever, created by the world's best automotive engineers. And it goes without saying that this car deserves only the best. Period. What we offer here is an ever-expanding range of Ford GT parts and accessories, designed to stand the test of endurance the same as this car. We have everything to make your car one-of-a-kind, keep it in optimal condition, or restore it after another victory at the race track.
