Suited to all forms of motorsports where space and weight is a concern while still delivering maximum power. They are surprisingly quiet; netting a reduction of approximately 8-10 decibels over open headers and can be run with a turndown for even further noise reduction. Can be used on methanol or gas engines and/or, as an addition to an existing exhaust system for further sound reduction without a loss of power.

The original Flowmaster technology was born on the racetrack over 25 years ago. There was urgent need for a sound solution for Sprint car racing at local California fairground events. Their sound level of the Sprint cars was deemed too high and the continuation of the racing was threatened by protests over the excessive noise. Flowmaster founder Ray Flugger invented and patented a new and innovative technology that not only resolved the excessive sound issues of these high-powered racecars, but also increased maximum horsepower and provided an increased and broader torque curve - an unheard of byproduct from competitive mufflers in use at the time.
