At one time all cars and trucks had chrome door handles, even economy models. Then because of changing trends in styling and cost factors chrome handles disappeared and were replaced by black or body colored handles. In recent years chrome handles have been making a comeback on some high end luxury cars, but the overwhelming majority of vehicles are stuck with basic black or boring monochrome handles. If your ride is so afflicted, we have the remedy.

Overlays are the easiest path to bright chrome door handles. An overlay is a thin cover made from stainless steel or ABS plastic, a type of thermoplastic that is impact, heat, and chemical resistant. The plastic and stainless steel are chrome plated or the stainless steel may be mirror polished. Overlays are specifically designed to conform to the shape of the existing handles and attach with 3M acrylic foam tape. Once installed, in most cases you can’t tell them apart from actual chrome handles. For some applications chrome inserts are available that install in the door recesses behind the handles, as well as polished stainless steel logo trim, and polished stainless steel trim that outlines the handle, including flame style.

However, if you have the time to completely remove your old door handles and want the genuine article, we can supply you with complete chrome door handle assemblies. These handles will fit and function exactly the same as your existing handles, and have the same shape. The only thing different is the brilliant triple chrome plating you’ll find on our handles. Each handle assembly comes with everything needed for installation. Both our covers and replacement handle assemblies come configured to match your vehicle, with keyhole cutouts as required.
