Rugged Ridge® - Chrome Door Handle Covers

Basic black seems to be the color of choice for most Jeep trim parts, and that's OK for some, but maybe not for you. If you want a different look, one with a little more tradition and class, then perhaps chrome is the look you're after. Chrome says function with high end style; it catches the eye instead of blending in with the background. And the easy way to get the look is with Rugged Ridge chrome accessories.

These accessories are made of ABS, a strong thermoplastic widely used by automobile manufacturers that is impact, chemical and heat resistant. Then they're triple chrome plated for the ultimate in shine and long lasting durability. Some accessories are additions and some are overlays, a thin cover that fits over the existing part. Overlay trim parts are precision made for each specific application to ensure they fit perfectly. Once installed, in most cases you can't even tell them from a replacement part.

The best part about these accessories may be that they're so easy to install. They're secured to the vehicle with 3M acrylic foam tape. This tape is so effective it's used by the automobile manufacturers to attach trim at the factory. Because no drilling is required, there's no need to worry about rust forming at a hole. The foam core allows the tape to expand and contract with temperature changes and conform to surface irregularities. Installation is not only simpler; there are no unsightly fasteners to deal with. Just clean the surface with a prep agent to make sure all oil and wax are removed that would inhibit adherence, then remove the backing from the tape and press the part into place.
