Active Valve Exhaust Systems by Corsa®. For the first time, Performance Exhaust System is available with an integrated NPP valve and RSC Technology that allows the driver to take advantage of the multiple driving modes and personalities. Corsa's new "Active Valve" exhaust allows the driver to take advantage of over 17 decibels of volume change between "Touring" and "Track" modes while maintaining a No Drone Driving Experience.
For the first time on a CORVETTE, Corsa's Patented RSC Technology has been combined with an active valve system to create the ultimate exhaust system. With a 17 decibel difference across driving modes this exhaust is designed to range from STEALTHY Silence to an AGGRESSIVE SOUND under acceleration and a DRONE-FREE EXPERIENCE during cruise. Every system is engineered specifically to each vehicle.
The Corsa mufflers are of a unique and patented design that combines the performance advantages of straight-through mufflers with the sound control advantages of precision engineered baffled mufflers. By exact positioning and design of the baffles, Corsa’s acoustical engineers can choose which sound frequencies to cancel out. Every vehicle has certain resonance frequencies that cause an irritating, and sometimes even nauseating, drone. Corsa mufflers are adapted to each application, with the mufflers cancelling out the sound frequencies that cause drone in the vehicle the muffler is designed for. This is how Corsa mufflers can keep an unrestricted performance and sound for acceleration while providing a comfortable sound level for cruising speeds.
