Product Details

Disc Brake Pad Pin Clips by Carlson®. Are you looking for high quality and superior durable hold down pin clips to complete your brake repair job? These pin clips by Carlson are all you need to get OE quality, fit, function, and long service life.

A grinding noise is the number one reason why vehicle owners bring their four-wheel friend in for brake repair. Most people think this noise is caused by worn out pads. In reality, worn out or damaged brake hardware doesn't secure brake parts properly resulting in the brake noise. When brakes need to be replaced, it's extremely important to do the job right for reliable, efficient, and quiet braking performance. Disc brake hardware functions reliably in the harsh, dirty environment, but eventually heat and wear take their toll. That's why all its parts and hardware should be inspected and replaced whenever brake pads are replaced. New brake hardware makes a world of difference and gives you the confidence in knowing that the job was done correctly. With this product by Carlson, you can say good bye to irritating brake noise while restoring line-new braking performance.

Not the Quality I Was Expecting for a Usa Made Product.
Purchased this kit on Ebay for $35.99. Installed in my 1970 Thunderbird rear brake system. Within less that 300 miles my rear brakes failed. Upon inspection the brake linings disintegrated. Upon replacing the brake shoes I noticed that the compression springs didn't hold the shoes tightly. SO I ordered a new hardware kit from NAPA. When comparing the the old to new, the Carlson compression springs were badly compressed and offered little retention support for the shoes. Further inspection revealed the holding pins were bent and much smaller in diameter than the NAPA brand. Also the other retaining springs were enlongated and offer much less tension. The Carlson kit I purchased was for a 1967-70 Thunderbird, but the quality of the kit wasn't up to the task. Hopefully the NAPA kit will last much longer. I noticed the Carlson price for the kit is under $6, sure not worth the $36 I paid.

Excellent OEM Quality Parts.
Bought these at half the price of OEMs and they are same quality as OEM. Installed easily without any issues.

Obsolete Parts Not With Carlson Around
Carlson has the obsolete parts no one else has. I ordered 5 sets of these parts because not even Ford dealer parts departments sells these parts in Canada, they are obsolete. I was surprised to find these parts readily available & at a very reasonable price. Being that these parts are obsolete, I paid under $100 for all 5 sets. The materials in the kit are top quality, the kit is complete, not a small part missing, the materials used for the springs is not brittle like some aftermarket kits are renowned for. All in all, Carlson has the parts no one else carries, reason enough to buy Carlson Break Kits.
