Say “Goodbye” to brake noise and “Hello” to better mileage. Carlson’s QuietGlide® Brake Clips combine the durability of stainless steel with the most innovative design in the industry.
Carlson manufactures every QuietGlide® clip with precision. The clips are made of stainless steel for overall corrosion-free performance and are coated on one side with PTFE to reduce drag and an exclusive vulcanized rubber compound on the other to reduce noise. These innovations virtually eliminate brake noise—the #1 customer complaint—and can reduce drag so the vehicle gets better mileage.
The first step in making QuietGlide® Brake Clips is putting the stainless steel through a vigorous cleaning process. Then a bonding agent is applied to one side of the stainless steel and Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) is applied to the other side in a coating line. The clip than goes to a Double Belt Press line where the rubber is vulcanized to the stainless steel. The vulcanization process includes an elaborate array of pressure and temperature in a process called Crosslink, allowing the metal and rubber to be intertwined in a bond that will not separate.
The final product can reduce drag and wear on the pads and rotors, causing less friction and improved fuel efficiency. QuietGlide® Brake Clips also extend the life of the pads and improve the braking experience by reducing noise and improving pedal feel.
Brake noise is the #1 customer complaint and reason for comebacks, so it literally pays to reduce noise. At an independent, third-party automotive lab, Carlson’s QuietGlide® Brake Clips consistently eliminated brake noise in cars and reduced it 47% in trucks due to the specially coated clips with premium vulcanized rubber.
Using Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) on one side of the brake clip allows the pads to slide more freely. As a result, QuietGlide® Brake Clips can reduce drag and wear on the pads and rotors, causing less friction and improved fuel efficiency.
When a vehicle is ready for its first brake job, Carlson’s professional installation kits with exclusive QuietGlide® Technology make the job easy.
Carlson’s Disc Brake ProKits and Disc Pad Installation Kits are all you need to replace the OEM parts easily and efficiently when it’s time for a vehicle’s first brake job. And because of the exclusive QuietGlide® Technology, the brakes will be significantly quieter.
Installing QuietGlide® Technology greatly diminishes noise in the disc brakes. Because of the vulcanized rubber coating, the abutment clips reduce the transfer of vibrations and noise from the pads to the caliper bracket.
Designed for the vehicle’s first brake job, the kit comes with our exclusive QuietGlide® Technology, the critical anti-rattle clip to reduce friction and noise.
Carlson’s drum brake kits make installation easy because each kit comes with everything you need to complete the job the first time.
Each of our four drum brake kits includes the parts you need, whether you’re replacing the adjusting part, doing a complete axle job, restoring the parking brake and more. Plus, every part you use meets or exceeds the OEM specs so you can be confident your drum brakes will work long after you finish the job.
Contains all hold down parts and return springs necessary for a complete axle drum brake job. Keeps brake shoes in proper position and returns them to proper resting state after braking for optimal performance and extended life.
Contains everything you need to replace the critical drum brake system adjusting part. This ensures adjustments take place at proper intervals, helping to improve the life and performance of the braking system.
Contains everything you need to compete a full axle installation, including return springs, hold down parts, shoe pins, adjusting springs, levers, parking brake springs, and adjusting screws.
This kit includes return springs, hold down parts, adjusting screws, and adjusting springs to prevent premature brake wear and restore brakes to like-new performance.
Don’t settle for less when you can use the best, Carlson Copper Nickel tubing and fittings for automotive, farm, and industrial vehicles.
Bendable and dependable, Carlson’s Copper Nickle brake tubing provides unparalleled flexibility for any repair as well as the strength and durability needed for the life of the vehicle. Available in two sizes, the tubing is easy to manipulate with tight tolerances and easy to install. Plus, it won’t rust and has the highest burst strength on the market.
Carlson brake lines come standard with PVF Technology poly-vinyl fluoride coating. This provides up to 30 times more rust and corrosion protection over standard steel brake lines. And it meets SAE J527B specifications.
Thanks to Carlson’s electric wear sensors, there’s no need to guess when the brake pads are worn.
Carlson Brake Pad Electric Wear Sensors cover 98% of all domestic and import models – more than 25 million vehicles. Sensors are engineered for OE fit and function and tested for optimal performance.
When it comes to driving safety, it’s important to choose ABS sensors you can trust. They affect not only anti-lock brakes (ABS), but the Traction Control System (TCS), ESP (preventing swerving or skidding), and Hill-Start Assist and Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC). As a result, ABS sensors improve driving safety and comfort, and lower both emissions and fuel consumption. Choosing quality ABS sensors just makes sense.
Nothing is more important than having confidence in your brakes. Your anti-lock brake system — which triggers the ABS light on your dashboard when something goes wrong — is only as effective as its ABS sensors. Choosing quality ABS sensors is a choice that just makes sense.
Carlson’s new, aftermarket caliper mounting bolts cover 150 million vehicles.
The brand you trust is proud to introduce a new addition to the product line. Caliper mounting bolts attach the caliper bracket to the steering knuckle in both cars and trucks.
To complete the brake job, don’t forget the parking brake hardware.
DIH braking systems don’t dissipate heat as well as Disc brakes. The excess heat weakens springs, which can cause the shoes to vibrate, score the drums or lock the brakes. Weakened springs can also stretch and lose the ability to completely retract the shoes from the drums. In fact, DIH spring tension can be reduced 30% in only one to two years.
The Drum-in-Hat Parking Brake is designed to bypass the hydraulic braking system to stop the car in an emergency or keep it in place when parked. However, heat and corrosion can damage critical brake hardware components and make the brake dysfunctional. That’s why Carlson has the parking brake hardware to cover more than 163 million cars and light to heavy duty trucks on the road today.
DIH parking brake kits include all the parts you need to completely replace the old hardware and maximize braking performance. New return springs, hold down parts, adjusting screws, and adjusting springs both minimize brake drag for better gas mileage and prevent premature brake wear.
Keep your customer happy by making sure every vehicle in the fleet is safe on the road. Commercial vehicles put on a lot of miles over varying terrain and through all kinds of weather, so the brakes have got to work. That’s why Carlson’s heavy-duty hardware for commercial vehicles restores brakes to like-new performance. Using Carlson brake hardware eliminates premature wear and prolongs the life of new pads, which means there’s less down time for each vehicle.
