Steering Gear Box
I received the gear box very promptly, after inspecting it we noticed the splines for the steering shaft knuckle was chewed up. I decided to go with a local one so if there is a problem, I can deal with it right away.

Positive Feedback, Thanks
I ordered a steering gearbox to replace the original worn gearbox on my 1977 Ford F-150. It took a while to receive but I was patient and kept in contact with A1 Cardone. The new gearbox was beefier than my old and heavier. It had 4 bolts at the top rather than 2, so I had to make/add a bracket to the top for my brake lines (as my original pump bracket would not work with the 4 bolts) and had to remove two of the bolts to do so. I was surprised to find they were metric. On a 1977 no less! I followed all the instructions to flush out my power steering pump and added a NAPA dual PS filter part number 35-1002. I added new ps oil. The pump made a noise as it had air in it and I performed the requisite side to side turns to clear it out. It still makes a little noise which I hope goes away soon. The new pump took out all of the play my old one had and made me a satisfied customer.

Worked Well on My Project Car
I chose Cardone because of its reputation. The box fit well, no problems with the install. Steering feels much tighter and more controlled than before. I really appreciate the quality of re-manufacturing, especially for this price point.

Works as Expected
I installed this on my Firebird. It bolted right in, no issues here. It doesn't feel quite as tight as a new one, but for a reman unit, it's doing the job just fine.
