BBK® 17801 - Throttle Intake

Increasing airflow into an engine is one of the fundamental ways of creating more horsepower. Increased airflow allows your engine to burn more fuel, and more fuel equals more power. In the old days, more airflow required a larger carburetor; today’s fuel injected engines need a larger throttle body. When you want a larger aftermarket throttle body there’s really only 2 choices: you can buy something else or buy the best, a performance throttle body from BBK. But this is no ordinary throttle body. It’s another first from BBK: a 78mm Throttle Intake that takes the place of both the throttle body and the intake elbow, for a much cleaner looking and better performing alternative. With the throttle intake, you’ll get increased airflow all the way into the intake manifold, for a dyno-proven bump in horsepower. Along with the original design, the throttle intake includes all the features that set BBK throttle bodies in a class by themselves, like die-stamped throttle linkage, double sealed bearings, and O-ringed throttle shafts. This patent-pending design is a direct replacement for the throttle body and intake elbow, and comes with all needed hardware and detailed installation instructions.

The Throttle Intake is available in your choice of polished or black powdercoated finish. It’s backed by a 1-year limited warranty against defects in materials or workmanship, as long as the product was installed according to BBK guidelines.
