Performance Parts Full Length Exhaust Headers by BBK®. Gain 30 plus dyno-proven horsepower just by bolting on a set of BBK long tube, full length headers. These premium headers are CAD designed with a one-piece laser cut exhaust flange, CNC mandrel bent tubes, and a leak-free ball and socket (dome) style collector, for unrestricted airflow. They’re pressure tested to ensure trouble-free performance, come with gaskets and mounting hardware, and available in eye-catching chrome or durable silver ceramic finish, or never rust stainless steel. A BBK high-flow X-pipe is required to connect to the exhaust system.
Optimal cylinder scavenging, where the exhaust pulse helps draw the exhaust gas from the primary tube as well as draw the incoming intake charge into the cylinder, is most pronounced on long tube headers. Long tube headers are much more effective with longer cam durations and greater valve overlap, which is why they are recommended for “built” engines. The only caveats to long tube headers are that since the collector is lower on the header, ground clearance can be an issue, particularly on lowered vehicles, and fitment usually requires modifications to the exhaust system. However, the latter isn’t a problem with these headers if a BBK high-flow X-pipe is used to connect to the exhaust system.
