State-of-the-art 4-link suspension kits we offer on our website are the superior alternative to the inherent performance limitations of your leaf springs. A 4-link system separates the functions of positioning the axle and supporting the vehicle. In a 4-link setup there are 2 top and 2 bottom links. The bottom links position the axle front-to-rear, while the top links keep the axle from rotating and maintain pinion angle, for optimum traction, acceleration, and component durability. To laterally position the axle, eliminate flexing, run tighter wheel-to-fender clearances, and increase stability during hard cornering, the top links can be mounted at an angle to the lowers, “triangulated”, or mounted parallel to one another and used with a panhard rod.
With a 4-link you have many more spring options than you have with a leaf spring suspension. You can adjust the spring rate and ride height to your needs and preferences to get the desired handling, stance, and ride quality. Springs are included with some kits, while others leave the choice to you, so you have the opportunity to choose air springs or adjustable coilovers to fine-tune your suspension and traction for greater confidence while driving. Some of our 4-link kits come with high-durometer rubber bushings for a quieter ride, or polyurethane bushings at the link ends, while others come with spherical (heim) joints or can be upgraded to them. In most offered kits the links are adjustable to dial in the desired suspension preload and pinion angle.
On our digital shelves we offer vehicle specific 4-link suspension kits for many applications, including muscle cars and many of the most popular cars and trucks from the ‘30s, ‘40s, and ‘50s. Some of these suspensions are virtually bolt-on installations, only requiring a minimum of welding and fabrication, and they look just as good as they perform. We also have a large selection of universal 4-link kits for custom projects as well as tubing, brackets, clevises, and anything else needed to construct a 4-link system of your own design. All components, whether they’re parts of a complete system or separate parts, are elaborately designed and manufactured by top brands like ICON, QA1, Rock Krawler, Teraflex, and many other companies with years of proven experience in the suspension industry.
