As expected from one of the most refined mid-size luxury cars on the market, the Mercedes E-Class delivers comfort and performance in the right proportions while being packed with premium features. Its fifth generation has only been around since the 2017 model year, but the automaker decided to give it a thorough refresh already for 2021 to keep pace with newer rivals. The facelift brought sharper styling, a new hybrid powertrain, and the wagon-based model ambitiously called the All-Terrain. The E-Class is available as a sedan, coupe, convertible, and wagon, offers high-performance AMG models, and can be had with many optional features and packages to suit the needs and tastes of every buyer. If you have any further upgrades in mind, we’ve got you covered with all of the necessary 2021 Mercedes E-Class accessories. We also have the parts, fluids, and tools to keep your car’s performance at the original high level.
Cosmetic changes start up front, where a reshaped grille, curvaceous hood, and redesigned headlights lend the car a more aggressive look. Out back, the tail lights took a slimmer, horizontally stretched shape making the rear end appear wider. The AMG E53 coupe and convertible models benefit from the same styling tweaks as the sedan, but in a more aggressive form. The grille got GT-like vertical slats, while exhaust outlets are round-shaped. The 2021 AMG E63 S received a substantial visual upgrade front and rear. The grille design is inspired by that of the legendary Merc 300SL and receives the GT-sourced slats. Out back, there are redesigned tail lights for the AMG E63 sedan and new lighting elements for the wagon. The facelifted AMG E63 S rides on a new set of aerodynamically-optimized wheels and sports an improved rear diffuser.
Mercedes-Benz gave its E450 wagon models the All-Terrain name in an attempt to attract buyers looking at a crossover. These vehicles gained some SUV-derived accessories, including plastic body cladding and a faux skid plate. The interior is changed not as drastically, however, it got some redesigned parts. There are new steering wheel designs with capacitive sensors that detect whether the driver’s hands are on or off it in order for electronic safety systems to work correctly without giving any false warnings. Both the digital gauges and infotainment system got standard 12.3-inch screens. On the cool tech side, there’s a seat adjustment system that automatically sets the optimal seat position according to the driver’s height. More cool stuff comes with adaptive cruise control that adjusts itself to the traffic, and blind spot monitor that alerts the passengers keeping them from opening the doors if there are cars approaching from behind.
A gas-powered 3.0-liter turbo I6 with 48-volt hybrid assist is the new addition to the 2021 E-Class lineup. The V6 on the E 450 sedan and wagon is ditched in favor of this new engine, which nevertheless develops the same amount of horsepower and torque as the engine it replaces (362 hp and 369 lb-ft). The All-Terrain model comes standard with 4Matic AWD, air suspension, and even off-road drive modes. Two other powertrain choices are available for this year’s E-Class sedan. The E350 is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged I4 good for 255 hp and 273 lb-ft, while the E350e plug-in hybrid teams a 2.0-liter turbo 4-cylinder with an electric motor and a 90-kWh battery. Total system output is rated at 315 hp and 516 lb-ft. The Mercedes-AMG E63 sedan and wagon pair rolls into 2021 with the same 4.0-liter V8 making 603 hp but received mechanical updates in the form of a retuned suspension that brings a more comfortable ride. Whatever model you own, we have the right 2021 Mercedes E-Class parts and accessories to keep it in flawless condition.
