The Ford Transit Connect arrived in the USA in 2009 and created a new small commercial van segment here. Since its release, the Transit Connect has gained a strong reputation among not only business owners but also big families thanks to its generous towing and hauling power, 7-passenger seating, and ample storage. To make it even more attractive to customers, Ford has provided its small van with a bunch of updates and improvements for the 2019 model year. The new Transit Connect boasts two new engines and a new transmission as well as a redesigned exterior and interior. What remains the same is the harmonious operation of all 2019 Ford Transit Connect parts and accessories.
This year, the van is available with a 2.0 L GDI I-4L engine that is claimed to produce about 160 HP and up to 146 lb. ft. of torque to get the job done. This engine comes standard. For an added degree of performance, the segment-first direct-injected 1.5L I-5 EcoBlue Diesel unit is also available on the 2019 Transit Connect. Both engines are teamed with an efficient 8-speed automatic and come with Auto Start/Stop technology to ensure maximum fuel economy. This van is among the first vehicles to have such powertrains. Fleet operators can also have the base XL version running on CNG/LPG with a 2.5 L iVCT I-4 gas engine. The rear suspension is blessed with revised geometry, which improves driving quality without sacrificing handling. 2019 also brings the tweaked brake pads with a new copper-free compound. The new Ford van runs on 16-inch wheels with the Continental tires that have a new construction for improved rolling resistance.
In terms of styling, all 2019 Ford Transit Connect accessories and parts are thoughtfully united to bring an all-new look and feel. The front end has been redesigned and now boasts an Aston-Martin-esque look. The lighting system has new HID headlights with LED accent and fog lighting. Inside, all 2019 Ford Transit Connect accessories and parts are carefully designed with the driver and passengers in mind to deliver great comfort and utility during the trip. The new Transit Connect boasts a fully-redesigned dashboard that now has a 4G LTE modem, which allows for connecting up to ten devices to the net, and a 6.5-inch screen supporting SYNC3, which can be had with or without satellite navigation. The second row features fold-flat bucket seats. Although, 60/40 split-folding seats are offered as an option. The van offers a wide range of standard and optional features to meet various buyers’ needs.
