The second generation of the Jeep Compass was unveiled for the 2017 model year. The new vehicle succeeded not only the first-generation Compass, but also the Patriot. The 2017 Compass offers a superior combination of a recognized Jeep design, excellent off-road capability, fuel efficiency, and lots of advanced safety features and technologies. This crossover is built on a strong foundation – the frame and upper body are made as a single unit, which results in a dependable and mass-efficient structure. It extensively uses high-strength steel in order to enhance vehicle dynamics and crash performance. The 2017 Jeep Compass features an electric power steering, fully independent suspension, and exclusive for the class frequency damping front-and-rear-strut system, providing great on-road performance.

In North America, the 2017 Jeep Compass is offered with a single engine option, being a 2.4 L Tigershark I4 rated at 180 hp. The list of transmissions is wider, it includes a 6-speed manual (standard for all versions), 6-speed automatic (for 4×2 models) and exclusive for the class 9-speed automatic (4×4 variants). The new Compass delivers notable fuel efficiency of up to 31 mpg highway. The model features all well-known Jeep design cues, including a seven-slot grille. Muscular shoulders and fenders and fast roofline create an attractive profile. Providing the largest possible opening, an optional dual-pane sunroof allows you and your occupants to enjoy open-air driving. The rear end of the new Compass features slim rectangular LED taillights that flow into the liftgate, creating a recognizable look. Besides, the model offers an optional power liftgate that makes cargo access much easier.

The interior of the new Compass features modern-day tech and sculptural surface elements. The center console smoothly integrates functional features such as an electronic parking brake, volume and climate control knobs, gear shift selection, etc. The center stack houses a touchscreen display, its diagonal varies from 5.0 inches up to 8.4 inches. The distinctive trapezoidal stack bezel features the finish and color complementing the interior choice. The model also comes with a 3.5” LED driver information display. A 7.0” screen, one of the largest in the segment, is offered optionally. A steering wheel integrates speed, audio, and voice controls enabling the driver to stay focused on the road.

All in all they look nice, but the corner of the front doors don’t stuck as well as the back ones. A'm disappointed, we need to keep pushing them in the corners.
