An optional navigation system was redesigned and now features a reconfigured screen. Base and SE grades received gloss black trim and improved fabric seats. The driver’s seat offers 6-way power adjusting and there are cruise control, audio, and Bluetooth switches on the steering wheel. The 2016 Lancer comes with a new chrome grille that gives the front fascia a bolder look. The base model offers 16” alloy wheels standard and 18” ones as an option. Changes also include a new chrome beltline trim and LED DRLs. For greater safety behind the wheel, the model offers an advanced SRS system that includes 7 airbags, the corporate RISE safety cell body construction, and a range of safety features. The list includes active stability control, TPMS, engine immobilizer, and ABS with Electronic Brake-force Distribution. A sportier version of the new model, the Lancer GT is available too, it comes with 18” wheels, sportier suspension setup, rear spoiler, and larger brakes.
