The Ford Edge is a versatile, one-size-fits-most type of crossover which is praised for its ride comfort and balanced handling. It is the tires that provide traction for your SUV to remain comfortable, handle predictably on any type of surface, and stop safely, so it’s a good idea to swap them for a fresh set in time. We have all-season tires with specialized compounds created to improve overall road surface adhesion in most conditions. They come with wide circumferential grooves in order to resist aquaplaning by drawing water through the tread channels, thus providing a secure connection with the road surface during the rainy weather. Tread compounds, which are enriched with plenty of silica, offer excellent service life and performance in wet conditions, making this type of rubber suitable for a variety of operating temperatures.
Winter tires come with deep treads and extensive sipes, so as to max out grip in dangerous conditions like ice, snow, and slush. They are made using rubber compounds that don’t harden when the temps drop below 45 degrees. Summer tires have less prominent treads, shallower channels, and fewer siping, so as to offer a wider footprint. Their compounds are harder to maximize contact with the road surface in warmer weather. 2011 Ford Edge tires that we carry are sourced from a variety of trusted manufacturing companies, which include such names in the business as Michelin, Toyo, Yokohama, Pirelli, Nitto, and many others, so you can outfit your crossover with confidence.
