A new set of tires can restore or even improve your Ford Escape’s performance. This happens thanks to ultimate traction on asphalt or terrain, which influences stopping distances and handling. Traction also determines how far you can go off the road, in the mud, etc. So there are distinct types of tires specifically designed for certain weather conditions and applications. All-season rubber offers a range of advantages, which include well-blended silica compounds which work in a range of temperatures, while ensuring the necessary grip and traction. Their treads drain the rainwater, thus lowering any possible chance of hydroplaning. Special center rib designs lower the effects of road wandering, providing consistent roadholding.
Winter tires are produced from compounds featuring plenty of natural rubber inclusions, which make the material pliable during harsh wintertime frosts. They have tread sipes so as to grind into slush and snow, deeper channels to evacuate sleet and water, more prominent shoulder blocks, etc. Summer tires are made using more of synthetic rubber blends in order for the final products to improve grip in hotter temperatures and climates. Their treads are less prominent, channels & grooves are shallower, all in order to make the actual footprint larger. 2001 Ford Escape tires that we carry are sourced from a variety of reputable companies, such as Ironman, Cooper, Toyo, Pirelli, Nitto, and others.
