Sweden must be proud of being home for one of the leading automobile manufacturers. Founded in 1927, Volvo started its tough yet winning way. April 1927 was the date of the company's birth - it introduced its first car, the Volvo ÖV 4, whose name stands for Open Carriage 4 cylinders. But every winner can face failures, so it happened to the Volvo ÖV 4. The car with an open top turned out to be inappropriate for rainy Swedish climate so only 996 cars were produced. But this very first unsuccessful attempt didn't make Volvo leave the market. Now Volvo is a highly experienced automobile manufacturer which produces safe, quality cars recognized all over the world.

Maintaining your car in perfect condition is ultimately important, especially when it comes to Volvo engine cooling parts. Our online store offers the largest selection of top quality engine cooling parts for a large variety of Volvo models. "Antifreeze" is a chemical, primarily consisting of ethylene glycol, which when mixed with water serves to lower the freezing point and raise the boiling point of the mixture. Traditionally, the combination of antifreeze and water is known as "coolant". As opposed to air-cooled vehicles which rely on fan-driven air blowing over engine components, water-cooled engines use a radiator, water pump, thermostat, heater core, hoses, and passageways within the engine.

Everyone knows that your vehicle's engine needs its oil and filter changed at regular intervals. Most folks also know that there are other items which need regular servicing and replacement, such as the air and fuel filters. But what about the cooling system? The fact is, a modern vehicle's cooling system does such a great job at preventing an engine from overheating that we all but ignore it. The reality is, all vehicle manufacturers have a recommended interval when the coolant should be replaced.
