Isuzu Oasis Accessories & Parts

About Isuzu Oasis

Under the agreement between the Honda and Isuzu companies, the Honda began selling Isuzu Rodeo and Isuzu Trooper cars under the Honda Passport and Acura SLX names in order to grab a share of the luxury SUV market. In return, the Isuzu achieved the right to sell the Honda Odyssey and Honda Civic cars as the Isuzu Oasis and Isuzu Gemini respectively. Thus the Isuzu got the Oasis, an older version of Honda's Odyssey vehicle. The rebadged minivan filled a niche in Isuzu's lineup represented in the United States automotive market. The Isuzu Oasis was the only minivan sold by Isuzu in the United States from 1995 to 1999.

The Isuzu Oasis parts and accessories were manufactured by Honda and the model was assembled at Sayama plant in Japan. The Oasis's FF layout improves cornering ability of the vehicle due to the engine layout over the steered wheels. The Isuzu Oasis shared a 2.2-liter 4-cylinder engine that produced 140 horsepower and a 4-speed automatic transmission with Odyssey. The Oasis was available in two trim levels: S and LS. The base model S had 7 seats: two front, 3 middle and 2 rear benches. The LS model had 6 seats including two captain's seats that replaced the middle bench. The middle seats were removable. The flat-folding rear seat provided additional cargo space. The minivan featured four conventional side doors. The safety features included the dual airbags and all-disc anti-lock braking system.

In 1998 Isuzu Oasis was offered with a 2.3-liter dual-overhead-cam 4-cylinder engine that produced 150 horsepower. The 4-speed automatic transmission was standard for both engines. The dashboard was restyled and equipped with a tachometer. The horn was activated at the hub pad of the steering wheel. For Isuzu Oasis 1999 model year only one trim level was available. The vehicle came with refinements to the interior and exterior parts, thus some of new colors and a new seating arrangement were added. The all-disc anti-lock braking system and the dual airbags were included into the list of standard Isuzu Oasis parts. The vehicle provides a comfortable and stable ride even on urban streets. Therefore, Isuzu Oasis vehicles were used as the taxis in New York City.

A nice and tidy minivan is what drivers get with the Isuzu Oasis. The smoothly contoured shape is the model's calling card, but it also knows how to perform, as later series came equipped with a crunchy VTEC engine, courtesy of Honda. The interior is superbly arranged, giving passengers the freedom to stretch out and move around a bit. The Oasis also boasts a pretty sharp dash panel that provides all the necessary options and amenities drivers need to get comfortable. A valuable and useful presence on the street even now make the Oasis an Isuzu legacy.
