"Got the heat shield probably a week past when I ordered it, nice look to it, all suction of the intake is now concentrated to the opening of heat shield which sounds great."
"This part is fine, but unnecessary if you will be using the heat shield, as the Ram Air tube fits onto the end of the heat shield. If you are not using the heat shield, then you will need this part."
"This heat shield goes on very easily, and makes installing the Ram Air Kit even that much easier because you can just install on the end of the heat shield. I'm concerned, however, that having this covering over my air filter is robbing some performance by constricting the area of free air-flow, so I'm currently considering removing this."
"The Dragon filter doesn't create any heat, after running high RPMs for a couple minutes, the filter is cold to the touch. As for the Heat shield itself, I didn't install it, but! I will install it if I decide to convert my Dragon short ram intake to a cold ram intake, in which case, this is a necessity since it is the adapter for the cold air hose."
"The Weapon-R Dragon Filter Heat Shield is easy to install on the intake. I've driven the car for 150 plus miles straight and checked under the hood when I reached the destination and can feel the shield without being burned or feel heat at all really I like it very much. "
