ASTON MARTIN DBS ACCESSORIES & PARTS

    About Aston Martin DBS

The first Aston Martin DBS, classified as a grand tourer, was manufactured by Aston Martin Lagonda Limited in 1967. In 1972, the original DBS was replaced by Aston Martin DBS V8, which was produced as the company's mainstream vehicle for nearly two decades. It wasn't until 2007 that the company introduced its refined luxury DBS V12. The vehicle debuted at the 57th Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance in August 2007, though the production itself commenced in the first quarter of 2008.

The 2007 DBS is powered by a front mid-mounted 6.0L V12 engine. The power unit produces 510 bhp at 6,500 rpm and 420 lb ft of maximum torque at 5,750 rpm. 4.3 seconds is enough for the DBS to reach 62 mph. Its two-door coupe body is made with aluminum, magnesium alloy and carbon-fiber composite materials to achieve the most lightweight construction possible. With all the materials used, the weight of the DBS is reduced to the minimum and equals 3,740 lb. In spite of this, the body has all the necessary parts to achieve the uppermost aerodynamics. The DBS comes with a rear mid-mounted six-speed manual transmission as standard, yet the Touchtronic six-speed automatic transmission based on the ZF technology is available as well. Standard package includes adaptive damping system with the track mode, dynamic stability control, ABS, electronic brake force distribution, traction control. The aggressive and elegant interior brings the unrivaled comfort and style. Among the highlights of the DBS one can name such parts are the dashboard, which features dark graphite background with white numerals, and the Iridium Silver center console, which combines analogue instruments and digital technologies. Satellite navigation, audio system, MP3 player connectivity are also found among the on-board features.

In August 2009, Aston Martin unveiled the DBS Volante, a convertible sibling to Aston Martin DBS. The word “Volante” means “moving with light rapidity” and it precisely describes the sophisticated open-air vehicle. Based on the original 2007 Aston Martin DBS specifications, the DBS Volante comes with its own unique features and accessories. One button push is enough to activate the roof, which opens in 14 sec. The electronically activated roof is designed with a specialized Thinsulate material that ensures excellent soundproofing when the roof is raised. The convertible Volante is designed with the 2+2 seating, while for the 2007 original coupe this configuration came as an option. In 2010, Aston Martin unveiled two more editions: the DBS UB-2010 limited edition and the DBS Carbon Black edition. The additions to the family are based on the 2007 DBS and are available as Coupe and Volante versions. Aston Martin limited the production of the DBS UB-2010 edition to 40 cars that featured azurite black exterior finish and metallic bronze-colored interior. The DBS Carbon Black edition came with the unique carbon black exterior finish and obsidian black leather inside of the cab.

When somebody says “Aston Martin,” the others start searching for the on-road masterpiece. Creation of a brand-new Aston Martin can be easily compared to watchmaking as the DBS production is based on the same precision, manufacturing discipline, consummate craftsmanship and passion. Snow, ice, freezing rain, and frigid temperatures make winter driving treacherous; nevertheless you're prepared, right? Your all-season radials have plenty of tread, the antifreeze is good to -32°F, and the ice scraper is in the car, ready to go. You even remembered to pack a blanket and cell phone charger in case you get stuck. But what about your wiper blades?...
There are four major types of trailer hitches, regardless of whether they are installed at the factory or added on afterward. A hitch may simply have a bar sticking out past the bumper with a ball mounted to it. Or there may be a square receiver that takes a ball mount that slides into it. In all cases, there are different weight ratings.
When you’re setting up your trailer with a new tow vehicle, several things need to be considered: the ball mount and ball must be rated to take the weight, and the ball has to be at the right height. Once you have determined the proper weight class, choose a ball mount of a high enough class for your trailer, and set up your ball mount and ball for proper towing....
