The 2013 Chevy Camaro utilizes a fully independent suspension, both front and rear, four-wheel disc brakes with hydraulic assist, and electronic stability control. Developed for the ZL1, an electric power steering system is standard on the Camaro SS. It provides increased resistance at high speeds and ensures light effort at parking-lot speeds for better feedback and more direct steering feel.

Introduced in 1988, the 1LE package comes back for 2013, being available for the 1SS and 2SS coupe variants of the Camaro. It includes an exclusive 6-speed manual specifically tuned for road-racing performance, monotube rear dampers and tuned suspension, which is focused on optimum body-motion control but still provides wheel-motion control and ride quality of the Camaro SS. In addition, it features an air-to-liquid cooling system as standard. The 1LE package also offers a matte black hood, black-finished 10-spoke wheels based on the ZL1, rear spoiler, and functional front splitter.
