Most modern vehicles have smooth, "naked" roof lines for aerodynamic styling that is attractive and creates less drag for improved fuel economy. However, these featureless roofs create a problem when trying to mount a roof rack system. Yakima roof rack systems allow you to transport cargo on top of your vehicle that would otherwise take up a lot of room in the cabin. And with your gear stowed on top, there’s room for friends or more gear inside your vehicle. To allow a roof rack to be installed on such vehicles, Yakima designed the Q Tower crossbar supports. These towers rest on the roof on pads that won’t harm your vehicle’s finish, and they’re firmly attached to the door frames with custom, vehicle specific Q Clips.

But the secret to the Q Tower's fit is the 4-way movement of the die-cast metal ball and socket mechanism that attaches to the Q Clip. The Q in Q Tower stands for quadruple, and it's this 4-way, quadruple movement that enables the Q Tower to fit virtually any vehicle roof contour. You can be assured that Q Towers will fit perfectly and securely on your vehicle, with a quick and simple installation process. Constructed with a powder coated steel superstructure and glass reinforced nylon shell, Q Towers are designed to support Yakima round crossbars (not included). Q Towers can be locked to prevent theft with the purchase of optional SKS lock cores and keys.

Warranty

This limited warranty covers all Yakima-brand products and rack components manufactured by Yakima Products, Inc. (Yakima), and is effective for as long as the original retail purchaser owns the product. This warranty terminates when the original retail purchaser sells or otherwise transfers the product to any other person.

Subject to Yakima’s inspection of the product, Yakima will remedy defects in materials and/or workmanship by repairing or replacing, at Yakima’s option, the defective product without charge for parts or labor, subject to the limitations and exclusions described in this warranty. Yakima may elect, at its option, not to repair or replace a defective product, in which case Yakima will issue to the original retail purchaser, at Yakima’s option, either a refund equal to the purchase price paid for the product, or a credit to be used toward the purchase of new Yakima products or rack components.

This warranty does not cover problems caused by normal wear and tear (including, but not limited to, scratches, dents, tears, or aesthetic oxidation of surfaces, or natural breakdown of colors and materials over extended time and use), commercial use, accidents, unlawful vehicle operation, or modifications or repairs not performed or authorized by Yakima. In addition, this warranty does not cover problems resulting from conditions beyond Yakima’s control including, but not limited to, theft, misuse, overloading, or failure to assemble, mount or use the product in accordance with Yakima’s written instructions or guidelines included with the product or made available to the original retail purchaser.
