Product Details

Universal Warrior Locking Brackets (8007064) by Yakima®. These locking brackets secure Yakima LoadWarrior or MegaWarrior Cargo Baskets to the roof rack crossbars. They install at opposite corners of the basket in place of the standard support brackets. Sold in sets of 2, including SKS (Same Key System) lock cores and keys.

Installation

If you have a camper or pickup bed cap and you'd like to install a roof rack system, these brackets will allow you to install Yakima 1A Raingutter Towers to support the crossbars. They can also be used on just about any other application without existing rain gutters. The brackets, in effect, are artificial rain gutters and provide a rain gutter like surface for the towers to clamp on. They're designed for installation on steep surfaces where extra clearance is needed. The brackets extend outward further to make it possible to mount the crossbars closer to the roof.

WideBody Brackets come with quality stainless steel hardware that will never rust, and comprehensive installation instructions. The brackets are backed by a limited lifetime warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.

Warranty

This limited warranty covers all Yakima-brand products and rack components manufactured by Yakima Products, Inc. (Yakima), and is effective for as long as the original retail purchaser owns the product. This warranty terminates when the original retail purchaser sells or otherwise transfers the product to any other person.

Subject to Yakima’s inspection of the product, Yakima will remedy defects in materials and/or workmanship by repairing or replacing, at Yakima’s option, the defective product without charge for parts or labor, subject to the limitations and exclusions described in this warranty. Yakima may elect, at its option, not to repair or replace a defective product, in which case Yakima will issue to the original retail purchaser, at Yakima’s option, either a refund equal to the purchase price paid for the product, or a credit to be used toward the purchase of new Yakima products or rack components.

This warranty does not cover problems caused by normal wear and tear (including, but not limited to, scratches, dents, tears, or aesthetic oxidation of surfaces, or natural breakdown of colors and materials over extended time and use), commercial use, accidents, unlawful vehicle operation, or modifications or repairs not performed or authorized by Yakima. In addition, this warranty does not cover problems resulting from conditions beyond Yakima’s control including, but not limited to, theft, misuse, overloading, or failure to assemble, mount or use the product in accordance with Yakima’s written instructions or guidelines included with the product or made available to the original retail purchaser.

Awesome Looks, Odd Build Quality

The shield itself looks great, but it is just a glorified piece of plastic that’s held on basically with zip ties. That said the volume of the wind in the cab of the truck is dramatically decreased, I’m pleased with the product in every way, just wish there was a way to lock it onto the bars. I don’t live in the nicest areas, and the name Yakima does draw a little attention.

Great Bracket for Axe/Shovel

Easy to install, no drilling or cutting. Just put together and use. The design fits utilities very snug, no rattling nor shaking. The black color design blends in very well with the rack. I absolutely love this bracket, I will be buying another one soon to install in the other side, and maybe even install one on the inside of the rack too. I strongly recommend this to anyone who buys the Yakima Rack.

On Lockdown

They were easy to install and I feel safe leaving my bike attached to my car without fear of theft during my post-ride meal with the team.
