Installation
Most kayaks are relatively light and slide easily on Yakima Mako Saddles. But if you’ve got a heavy boat you’ll appreciate any bit of help available to get it up on the roof. Yakima heard you load and clear and so created HullyRollers. These Dynaflex padded rollers are mounted on pivoting bases that fit many kayak and canoe hull shapes, and articulate to allow you to easily roll your boat into place on the crossbars. Once the boat is installed, the rollers can be locked to prevent roller and boat movement. The Dynaflex rollers will protect and grip your boat’s hull and last for many seasons. The frames are made of glass reinforced nylon and aluminum, with stainless steel and brass hardware to resist corrosion.
HullyRollers are sold in pairs and include 1 tie-down strap to secure the boat to the cradles, and 1 bow/stern tie-down, to secure one end of the boat to the vehicle. For complete support you have the option of pairing the saddles with another pair of HullyRollers or to pair them with a set of Yakima Mako Saddles or Mako Aero Saddles. Using HullyRollers with Mako Aero Saddles will provide the ultimate combination of easy loading with security, because the Mako Aero can be locked with optional SKS lock cores and keys. HullyRollers come ready to mount to round or square crossbars without tools, and they can be mounted to factory or aero bars with Yakima Universal MightyMounts (sold separately).
Comprehensive, illustrated installation and user instructions are included with HullyRollers, and they’re covered by a limited lifetime warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.
