Willpak® 1445-S-UNPAINTED - Split Design Smooth Surface Rear Window Louver (Unpainted)

Paint is dead on. In color and tint of color. I’m pleasantly surprised at the quality of this product. Installation was a little tricky. I used a non harmful to the paint chaulk pencil. To a-line the base plates to the louvre holes. I still had to gently flex and finagle the louvre down onto the base plates. To get all of the nuts to screw down any hold the louvre on the car. I’ve submitted an improvement that will eliminate this problem. Of course my solution will not be free. If I owned this company, I would research offering a aluminum version. With the option of color coded being an option. You should offer as an option louvres with a light weight frame. These louvres ordered with the frame will have two nuts like you currently have at the bottom of the louvre when you removed them. Because there is a light frame with props. Like some car hoods. You would prop the louvre up to clean the back glass. I’ll take the standard 12% commission on all rear louvre that you sell with my improved design. After ordering by phone through CARiD representative, I was a little nervous on how louver would affect my rear visual ability, by going from large back window to a smaller oval. Product arrived painted and matched perfectly, installed louver by myself. (I would advise not to install without help, it took me 2-3 times to line it up, had to rapidly pull off window, tape sticks to glass quickly and firmly). Once on correctly, it really changed the look on the car. As far as rear visual ability, it actually forces your eye to see what's important, no blind spots, makes beetle more elegant looking.

Without any doubt, this product is one of the very best cosmetic upgrades I have ever made to my Mustang. Not only it was delivered flawlessly but the installation and the custom paint job was a breeze! Now my car is unlike any other on the road!

Waited about a month to write review so far so good highway speeds rain high winds still holding up very well only thing I added is the Adhesive Promoter before I stuck brackets

if you can afford it, don't go polymer - especially if you have a Shaker scoop that's aluminum; this louver is very complementary to the '70s aesthetic of custom car fabrication; its light and simple bent-metal, riveted construction looks like something you had made by a skillful metal shop instead of a mass-produced product which it is; no issue with design, build quality and finish - but let's talk installation and security; the post plates that you attach to the glass to secure the louver to the window uses strips of 3M tape that are a bear to deal with; I estimate I spent more time trying to peel off the tape backing than any other phase of the installation! Very tedious! I then covered the exposed 3M tape with strips of freezer paper (much easier to remove) so I could position the louver with precision during my one-man installation; success! Now consider security - you just spend hundreds of dollars on an accessory someone can lift off your car without any tools; I've since purchased #10-32 (tpi) tri-groove security nuts and the corresponding socket to lock this down because the plastic finger nuts supplied with the kit are asking for trouble; BTW, anyone selling this item used without the mounting plates is selling a stolen product, just saying; good product; would be excellent if they made the backing tape easier to deal with and provided security nuts instead of common fasteners.

Took a few extra days than expected to ship but worth the wait, took some advice from a previous review and wove the louvers into the window gaskets instead of using the stick on velcro that's supplied and it made for a much cleaner look. As also stated in said previous review patience is definitely needed as it was not an easy task, probably would've helped if it wasnt cold enough to snow when I did it but hey.. All in all, very happy with the look, quality and customer service received, would absolutely buy again, just maybe in a warmer time of year lol.

These came with velcro tabs for install. Upon inspection I realized they are PERFECT SIZE to fit between the rubber window gasket and the glass. Tight fit so use patience. When done they look AWESOME and are very secure. Very happy with these. Saved the velcro tabs for something else down the road.
