The Volvo V50 is a 5-door wagon introduced in 2003 in Bologna. This car is based on the Volvo P1 platform and equipped with an inline 5-cylinder 2.4L engine rated at 168 hp. There was a turbocharged version of the V50, whose engine was also inline-five but produced 230 hp. Both versions were mated to a 5-speed Geartronic gearbox. The Volvo V50 was positioned as one of the safest vehicles in its class with Volvo’s Intelligent Vehicle Architecture. Standard safety features included Volvo's Whiplash Protection Seating System, traction control, all-disc anti-lock brakes, and side curtain-type and side-impact airbags.
It's needless to explain why the ignition system is essential for the proper function of any gasoline motor. But there are situations when it seems to be workable, but you experience vibrations and rough idling. The reason can be in such simple parts as spark plugs, which seem to be operable but work badly due to their age. It means misfires and incomplete combustion in the corresponding cylinder(s). If you have found any problems with the ignition system of your V50, it's time to replace its malfunctioning components. Browse through our online catalog of Volvo V50 replacement ignition parts featuring high dependability and long-lasting durability.
