The transmission pan is the reservoir for the automatic transmission fluid. These pans generally last the life of the vehicle; however, their mounting location on the underside of the vehicle leaves them exposed to the elements and road debris. An impact could dent, crack or pierce the pan, and prolonged use and exposure could result in rust out. Transmission fluid lubricates and cools the transmission, and it’s the medium that provides the hydraulic force for transmission operation. A leak due to a holed or rust perforated pan could result in severe transmission damage. Most transmission fluid pans are made of stamped steel, but some are constructed from molded plastic, and on some of the latter the transmission filter is an integral part of the pan – the entire pan must be replaced to change the transmission filter. We offer steel and plastic transmission pans for all popular late-model transmissions, including transmission pan kits that come with filter and gasket.

Anyone who has performed an automatic transmission fluid and filter service knows what kind of messy job it can be. Many vehicle manufacturers don’t see fit to provide transmission drain plugs, and the fluid must be drained by loosening the pan bolts and directing the fluid into a drain pan from a corner of the fluid pan. Even with the largest drain pans it can be difficult to keep from getting fluid on yourself and the floor. You can say good-bye to dirty transmission fluid showers with one of our replacement fluid pans with integral drain plug. These pans are identical to OE except our supplier has upgraded the pan with a convenient drain plug, so future fluid and filter services will be much neater and easier. You can also further improve your transmission pan with a magnetic drain plug or fluid pan magnet. The magnet will attract any metal particles, keeping them out the fluid and the filter, and alert you to potential transmission problems if you find a significant quantity of particles at the next transmission service.

To check the automatic transmission fluid level and condition on some late model cars, trucks and SUVs the vehicle must be raised but at the same time kept perfectly level, and a plug removed from the side of the transmission. On other vehicles a scan too must be used to check fluid level. If you’re lucky enough to have a car, truck or SUV with a dipstick you won’t have to deal with those hassles, but dipsticks can present their own problems. The dipstick tube can become cracked from vibration, broken during vehicle repair procedures, or otherwise damaged. A compromised tube can allow moisture and foreign material into the transmission, provide a leak path, and since fluid is traditionally added through the tube, make it difficult to bring fluid to the proper level. Count on us to have the dipstick and dipstick tube you need to make repairs so you can prevent leaks and maintain an accurate fluid level.

We also offer top-of-the-line performance transmission pans and engine oil pans designed to meet the most challenging demand of today's high-performance machines. We carry standard profile oil pans for those who like their rides running lower to the ground and still running cool, as well as deep finned performance transmission oil pans with extra fluid capacity. More quarts of fluid mean drastically improved cooling efficiency, better heat dissipation, and superior lubrication over stock for maximized system reliability and performance. These transmission and engine oil pans bring state-of-the-art performance engineering to the protection and longevity of your critical components, while adding style to your vehicle’s underbody. They’re precision engineered to help you fortify your vehicle’s transmission defenses against its worst enemy – extreme heat – created by modern high-power engines when revved up at high rmps.

Industry-leading performance transmission oil pans we handpick are constructed with rugged materials, including die-cast and fabricated aluminum for impeccable strength and durability. Their rigid design helps prevent flex created by high-torque applications and ensure a leak-free seal for many years to come. Performance transmission oil pans are great for die-hard custom engine builders who are looking to put a ferocious powerhouse under the hood to rule the street, murder the track, or tow extreme loads. They offer an advanced design with internal and external cooling fins that effectively dissipate heat from the oil to the outside air, while the neodymium magnetic drain plug acts as an open filter trapping any debris or loose particles for maximum engine protection. These components may also come with temperature sensor unit for better fluid control. We carry high-capacity transmission oil pans and complete conversion kits, as well as pan related components, including different styles of dipsticks and filter extenders, plus filter and gasket, dipstick and filler tube, and bracket and lever kits. So, help your transmission run cooler and last longer with top-grade performance transmission oil filters and pans showcased in our online store.

Good Quality Pan
It's a good quality pan with nice deep heat sinks , I cannot give it a "5" because the factory drilled and tapped hole for your Temp. gauge will only work with an electronic sensor. The hole is too small for a mechanical gauge which is what I am running ( AutoMeter mechanical Temperature gauge ). Fortunately the pan has a substantial boss around the hole allowing me to drill and tap a larger access hole that my mechanical sensor can pass through . I'm also running an AutoMeter psi gauge but that is teed in between my twin Hayden coolers and the factory trans pressure regulator. So the two extra quarts of fluid the B&M pan provides plus the one extra quart from my twin Hayden coolers , when pushing my 600 HP SRT 392 hard I barely hit 200 degrees and that's with a 2800-3000 rpm stall converter . Normal driving around town the tranny stays at about 170 degrees and this is in 90 degree Florida heat . So I am very happy with my pan/cooler setup.
