Its integrated shroud adds cooling efficiency by preventing air from being wastefully deflected off rotating fan blades. Instead, that air and much more of it is pulled through the shroud. Because of the funnel-like effect this creates, a greater volume of air also ends up being drawn through the entire area of the radiator instead of just near the fan.
Since high-grade T-6061 aluminum alloy can be extruded into thinner sheets, a greater number of cooling fins and rows can be housed in the same space as an original equipment radiator. There’s also more clearance to fit larger coolant circulation hoses.
